Weekly Menu 10.14.18
The Weekly Menu 10.14.18 includes a full week of nightly dinner ideas perfect for early fall.
Although I’m not Italian, I do play one – often – in the kitchen, and our Sunday family meal is the perfect example of this. We are having a family favorite starter with Cheesy Garlic Bread (how could this not be a family fave) followed by a very simple braciole with ramped up boxed stuffing mix.
Nope – it’s not authentic. But it is easy and delish.
Meatless Monday includes an awesome and healthy Oven Baked Tostada that you could add just about anything to. We’re using refried beans, cheese and chunky salsa to keep it meatless, but some ground beef or chicken would be a nice addition too.
WHAT THE HECK IS COTTAGE PIE? and DOES IT HAVE CHEESE?
Cottage Pie is the actual name of what we usually call Shepherds Pie. Shepherds Pie is traditionally made with lamb instead of the ground beef we will use Wednesday.
After browning the ground beef, we make a lovely pan gravy and add our favorite veggies before topping with mashed potatoes and a few dollops of butter. We pop it in the oven to crisp up the spuds.
And no, we aren’t adding cheese, although we have added a layer of cheddar between the beef mixture and the spuds in the past. Cheese. Yum.
It’s a hearty one pan dish that is fast and easy.
Have a fabulous week! ♥
