Naan Sausage and Pesto Pizzette

Super easy, fast and quick, this appetizer hits the trifecta.

During summertime, this is wonderful grilled: place on hot grill over indirect heat. Close lid and check every two – three minutes: remove as soon as the cheese is melted. Serve immediately.

Ingredients

  • 2 ea Naan flatbread
  • 1/2 pound Itallian sausage, casing removed
  • 1/4 cup Prepared pesto
  • 1/2 cup Shredded mozzarella
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Over medium high heat on stove top, cook sausage through until brown and crispy. 
  • Place naan breads on baking sheet, and spoon pesto on top, smoothing out to about 1/4" from the edge of the bread.
  • Divide sausage between naans, spread shredded mozzarella over top lightly, and drizzle with olive oil.

  • Bake until cheese is melted and the pesto is fragrant, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cut into pieces and serve.
