Baked Honey Mustard Pork Chops

Simple Honey Mustard Pork Chops energize run-of-the-mill!

Honey Mustard Pork Chops are a natural progression for us. And I think you’ll love them too! When the boys were really little, we went through vats of Honey Mustard. Our favorite restaurant had their “Own” recipe – but our waitress let us in on a little secret:

In order to save some cashola, I eventually formulated a recipe I could make at home.
My Honey Mustard Recipe has a little secret: a dribble of soy sauce. It gives the sweet sauce a nice savory note. We truly use the sauce on everything. It goes great with Easy Pretzel Bites, but it’s tasty on top of a turkey sandwich as well. So, of course, it does the humble pork chop proud too.
Trim your boneless pork chops of any visible fat. It’s a good idea to have a separate chopping board for meats. I use a plastic cutting board (affiliate links follow) that goes into the dishwasher after every use. Most importantly – don’t use your wooden chopping block for pork or chicken.

This sauce is a tiny bit less sweet than our traditional Honey Mustard Sauce – it goes better with the pork. I’m also using Dijon mustard for a savory punch. Combine all four ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl.

And whisk them together.

If necessary, pound the meat a bit in order to make sure all the chops are the same thickness. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with kosher salt and pepper.

Put a tablespoon of sauce on each pork chop. Keep the rest of the sauce to dip in – but be careful not to touch the spoon from the sauce on the pork chop.

Pop them in the preheated oven, and cook until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F on an instant read thermometer.

Eat these right away with the rest of the sauce. I like to serve with baked potatoes and roasted carrots – you might as well use the oven since it’s all warmed up!
