Checking out Santa during the Weekly Menu 12.12.21 – how does he eat all those cookies?
We’re not actually planning on sitting on Santa’s lap during the Weekly Menu 12.12.21 (or at all, actually, during the winter season) but prepping easy meals around the Christmas schedule? Yep. That we can do.
Santa Claus is Magic, on that I think we can agree. But he’s also a little… creepy, No? While I utilized the Santa threat like the great Mom that I am, I concurred with the boysies questions when they were little. HOW could Santa possibly visit every house on the planet on Christmas Eve? Even with the time change, that seemed a little bit unlikely.
How can Santa eat all those cookies? It makes me a little nauseous just thinking about it. How did he get in? Luckily we have a chimney, so that was an easy one. But D always had to throw some interesting questions in there.
If Santa could get in despite the alarm, couldn’t the bad guys?
Ummm. Santa is magic. We’re safe. Ish. Anywho, for all the smiles that Santa provides, there are at least a few terror inspired minutes.
Poor Baby Boy. This is actually not the only picture we have with him being less than impressed with Santa. Check out his big brother though – he looks like he’s about ready to bust a gut laughing.
Like I said. Santa is a little bit disturbing.
We had a not-so-strict three present per kid rule when the boys were little. If it was good enough for Baby Jesus, it should be good enough for them. But we told them ONE present was from Santa, and TWO were from Dad and Mom. Why? Well that way when all the presents left their perch on top of the cupboard, there was no questions. And because we wanted a little bit of the glory. I mean, come on.
Santa eats nothing but cookies, but we have it quite a bit better, especially during the Weekly Menu 12.12.21. It’s a beaut, Clark.
Comforting Chicken Pot Pie starts us out with a classic. I love a good appetizer during the late afternoon (especially while watching football), and there isn’t much better (or easier) than the Soft Pretzel Bites. The hardest thing to decide is how many tubes of biscuits to pop open. The Ooey Gooey Butter cake is a family favorite – and also super easy. I’ll have time to make a batch or two of cookies for Santa.
Bert loves himself some chicken and rice.
So I’m whipping up a casserole on Thursday – with, you guessed it, Chicken and Rice. It looks delish – and it’s southern, so I think it will probably live up to it’s name: Mamaws Chicken Rice Casserole.
Mamaw meaning: (US, dialect, Southern US) Grandmother, especially maternal grandmother.

it sounds like we’re having a LOT of chicken, but there’s some other stuff filling in the blanks.
