Our Weekly Menu 12.09.18 has plenty of easy dinner ideas to get you out of the kitchen fast as the holidays are approaching.

We’re starting the week with an elegant Surf & Turf dinner at home. I couldn’t decide which I’d rather have – steak or scallops. So I  went along with one of our favorite family movies:

“Can’t we have both?”

In anticipation of the groaning cookie tables we are planning on hitting up in the next few weeks, we’re trying to cut carbs a bit during the week. Cheesy Chicken is delicious, low carb, super easy, and perfect with a side of veggies.

Meatless Monday is meeting Taco Tuesday on our weekly menu 12.09.18!

With dinner from one of my favorite sites, Cookie & Kate. Roasted Butternut Squash sings in this perfect combo.

We have a lot of maple syrup in the pantry, and what better to pair it with than pork? Spicing it up a wee bit just makes good sense on Thursday, with our Chipotle Maple Pork Tenderloin.

The syrup came as a gift from one of Bert’s customers that lives in maple country. I love giving and receiving the local gifts at Christmas time.

Learning the details of how capitalism works was just one of the benefits of the movie we watch every New Years Eve. In the old days, we had to cover the boys eyes during the party scene, but now we all just look straight ahead and pretend we don’t see anything. All the movie quotes we’ve lifted have become part of our every day speech. What’s the movie?
