WEEKLY MENU 10.23.22
We’re making sure the decorations are up to snuff for Halloween during the Weekly Menu 10.23.22~
We’re peering through the front windows, checking out our neighbors scary décor during the Weekly Menu 10.23.22. And honestly? Several of them are putting us to shame, although it’s not too late to get on board. (Affiliate links follow – see Disclaimer Page for details.)
Last year, I finally bought a full size skeleton. It’s posable, and I’ve been enjoying displaying him/her (?) this season too. Bert got home from out of town, and I’d posed her (must be) on the light pole at the front of the house. As, you know, a Pole Dancer. Before that, he was sitting on the bench on the front porch, waving to passers-by. I’d like to make him crawl up the side of the house, but A. I’m not that handy, and 2. our house is white, and you’d never see the skeleton.
Bert has dubbed it the Skeleton on the shelf.
I might leave her on the pole – she has a certain je ne sais quoi (yes, I had to look up the spelling on that). The whole house looks cooler with a pole dancer. Go figure.
Maybe if he/she was glow in the dark?
I feel like I still need to up my game. Maybe spiders?
Maybe not. {Shudder}. Crows?
I know! Witches~
I do love me a witch.
We’re having a super easy dinner next Saturday, but it would be a spectacular night for a Halloween Party. Especially since we can get together again. Of course, a backyard bash would work too. Check out all sorts of fun ideas with our:

Weekly Menu 10.23.22
We’re continuing our fall theme with the Weekly Menu 10.23.22, but we’re not going crazy with pumpkin spice everything. Our big Sunday dinner is Italian this week, with Sausage Stuffed Peppers, Beef Braciole, and Bert’s favorite Italian Cream Cake. I usually make the Braciole stuffing using a box of Stove Top Dressing zhuzhed up with some Italian Seasoning and parmesan cheese.
There might have been a half an Italian Cream Cake in the freezer, but someone (it was me) left the door ajar a month or so ago, and we lost everything in there. On the plus side, the freezer desperately needed defrosting, so…
Pops Crispy Chicken gets a lot of love around here. We’re having it on top of a tossed salad this week, with Corn Bread Croutons and Honey Mustard Dressing. I’ll make Jiffy Cornbread – everything you need is in the little box, and we’re just cooking them again anyway. The croutons are next level plus super simple. Would recommend.
Soup season is in full swing with Zuppa Toscana this week. I adore this soup. Creamy with plenty of sausage and POTATOES! Sign. Me. Up.
