Ah Erie. There isn’t much that can compare with it in the summer. We are consistently ranked in the top 5 top sunsets in the world, and Lake Erie is pristine and beautiful for all kinds of water sports.  Because it is the shallowest of all the Great Lakes, the water temperature “warms” up rapidly, allowing us to enjoy it early in the summer.

This is a typical summer week, which is thrilling in itself, really. Family is working, playing sports, and generally getting out and about as much as possible.

We are having a favorite guest on Thursday (who happens to be a vegetarian), hence the appetizer and dessert that we don’t usually run into during the week. The pork chops are for the non-vegetarian eaters, but everyone eats the fabulous pasta.
