Weekly Menu 03.24.19 welcomes Spring!
Our Weekly Menu 03.24.19 welcomes spring the way we do it best in Erieland – with a (possibly) significant snow fall. {{Shrugs}} It is what it is, right? Erie gets a bad rap because of the often HEAVY snowfall, but this year was super light – 90ish inches of snow for the whole season.
I’m not going to lie – sometimes that cold wind is like a little slap in the face, but the spring is a delight, and it is followed (very) closely by summer – we don’t spring as such. We go from 35 degrees to 80 in a snap.
But it’s coming!!
The weekly menu 03.24.19 also accommodates lent – if you’re not abstaining, consider meatless Friday as a light night.
The pumpernickel toasties are a total throwback to childhood – it was one of my Mom’s appetizer recipes and it’s stunning in it’s simplicity. So many throwback recipes are like that – they are full flavor but are super easy and fast. I’ll be posting that soon.
We have pepperoni french-bread pizzas scheduled, but anything will work. Caramelize some onions or saute some mushrooms for a switch up. Or add some cooked chicken. The goal with the french-bread pizza is ease and deliciousness. Have some fun.
What are packet tacos?
