WEEKLY MENU 02.02.20
We’re starting the Weekly Menu 02.02.20 with a ball – literally! Super Bowl Party starts us into this first week of February, 2020.
Okay, I’ll admit it. I’m not much of a football fan, and if I had my druthers, I’d watch college football before professional ball. But it’s time for the Super Bowl, people, and all that entails! Check out our Super Bowl Party post for more details – I like to have a party that everyone can enjoy, including the host.
Kansas City Chiefs versus the San Fransisco 49’ers created a problem, food wise. While San Fran is apparently a total foodie paradise, much of their iconic food didn’t translate well into tailgate food. Kansas City is famous for barbecue, which I can really get behind for football food.
Last year we centered on hotdogs.
This year we’re sticking with chicken tenders. I left both menus in the post so you can pick and choose and generally get some ideas if you haven’t already planned out your party.
Let’s face it. It’s all about the commercials.
And the half time show. JLo and Shakira? Sounds like fun. I promise I’ll watch a little bit of the game. And bet in the pool. (Deets on that are in the Super Bowl Party post too!)
We have to eat the rest of the week though, and the Weekly Menu 02.02.20 is a good one, if I do say so myself.
We’ll make enough meatloaf that leftover sandwiches will be on the lunch menu for the week. Yumm. We’re having Chopped Cheeseburgers on Wednesday. I’m going to take more pictures to see if I can finally get some good ones. These are hands down the easiest way to eat Burgers, and they are fabulous, but they don’t photo well.
We’re having a crock pot pasta casserole on Thursday, which is a no-precooking meal. More on that later.
We had the good fortune to have a son that spent a semester in France.
We obviously had to go visit. The general consensus was that our best meals were at small cafes where we had Croque Monsieurs. They’re basically grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. And they are divine. Check that out for an easy dinner.
