Mix up your appetizer game with these Sweet Crostini Bites. They come together fast and are an elegant addition to any menu. Mix up the toppings depending on what you like and what you have available – these maples in syrup are an ice cream topping that we had in the fridge. They added a great bite to the plate.
A very sharp or blue cheese would add another taste dimension to these crostini. These are perfect for eating with a glass of wine or two.
Sweet Crostini
Servings: 6 servings
These little bites are perfect with a glass of wine before dinner. They are elegant and fast to put together.

Ingredients
- 1/2 loaf French bread
- 1/4 cup Ricotta cheese
- 1 tbsp Half and half and half or cream
- 1 tsp Honey, plus honey for drizzling
Toppings
- Fresh or frozen berries
- Walnuts in syrup
- Jam
- Sliced apples, pears, plums
- Pistachios
- Blue cheese crumbles
- Sharp cheddar slices
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Slice bread into rounds and place on sprayed cookie sheet. Toast, turning once, until bread is uniformly brown.
- Mix ricotta cheese with half and half and honey in a small bowl.
- Spread each round with ricotta cheese and add toppings. Drizzle honey over all crostini.
- Mix or match toppings or go with one on all the crostini. Plan on three crostini per person.
