Easy Cheesy Jelly Bites
These crescent roll appetizers feed a crowd in no time, and with very little effort!
Easy Cheesy Jelly Bites are super fast and easy to put together – and they don’t even have to be spicy if you don’t want. We used Hot Pepper Jelly (which is only moderately spicy at best!) but any berry jelly or jam would work as well here.
Crescent Rolls are the epitome of versatile too. I decree that every refrigerator should contain a tube! Of course, we had to buy this one, but you get the idea. I don’t even buy the expensive ones – our store brand is fine at half the price, thank you very much. If you aren’t feeding a crowd, roll the extras up to serve with dinner like we did.
I didn’t include the honey – I didn’t think I’d need it until I tasted the dipping sauce.
Preheat the oven, and prep a cooking sheet.
Separate the crescent rolls, and cut each roll in thirds, trying to keep them in triangle shapes. Hopefully you’ll have better luck than I did.
Add about a teaspoon of cream cheese and a little dollop of jelly, then roll them up.
Spray them with a little more cooking spray, and pop them in the oven. Cook until they are puffy and golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.
The dipping sauce makes the Cheesy Jelly Bites.
Taste for flavoring – our jelly wasn’t all that “liquidy”, so it needed a squeeze of honey and a dash of salt. Mix it up well.
Serve the cooked Cheesy Jelly Bites with the dipping sauce. Have fun with serving. This Black and White Serving Platter (affiliate link) looks super cool with the bites!
