Does anyone not love bacon? This video pretty much sums up how I probably looked the first time I had any. And I’m sure I’m not alone.

I saw the post picture and had to use it – because, well, BACON! Then I googled Bacon Rolls, because it’s not a thing here in Erieland. Turns out it’s a (fabulous) thing in the UK.

A bacon roll is a simple way of serving bacon in the form of a sandwich, using a soft or crusty bread roll. Popular in the U.K. with much argued regional variations in naming, such as “bacon sarnie”, “bacon butty/buttie” “bacon bap”, “bacon barm” or “bacon cob”. Most often served with brown sauce or tomato ketchup.

It’s totally brilliant. I can’t believe it’s not a thing here too. The Sex, Drugs and BACON ROLLS sign is at a place called the Breakfast Club in London. So now I have to go to London. Just for breakfast – which seems like a perfect reason.

Our Weekly Menu 09.15.19 has some old favorites along with a new recipe I’m going to attempt – Paella. I’ve been wanting to make Paella forever, and finally sprung for a Paella Pan (affiliate links follow). There are, oh, a million different variations on Paella, but we’re going with a middle of the road one the first time out of the gate. Fingers crossed!

Our boys always raved about their high school cafeteria Tortilla Soup. It took me a long time (and multiple tries) to figure it out, but I’ve got it now. It’s basically opening cans (and cans) and dumping them altogether. I’m sure the sodium content is through the roof, but it is a big favorite. I’ll post that soon – I promise.
