Crave comfort? Look: A Month of Easy Crockpot Dump Meals!
I love my crockpots all year long – they are perfect in the winter when a warm bowl of soup or stew can right the day. The lowly crock pot also saves the day during the summer when it’s too hot to use the stove. And lets face it: the best way to avoid slaving over the stove is to not turn it on.
I really hate the phrase “Dump Meal” because most of the images it brings to mind are not good. In this context though, all that it means is that there isn’t any pre-cooking. What is the point of cooking off all the components before, you know, cooking all the components? It adds a great deal of time without a great deal of flavor. All these meals are dump and go – you toss everything in your crockpot and let it rip.
Need a new or first crockpot? What a time to be alive!
These babies aren’t the slightly scary pots from the old days. I haven’t seen one that is cream colored with a brown flower like decal on it. If you already have a crockpot, might I recommend a second one. They really come in handy for an Open House Party or Souper Bowl Party. Plus the colors!
