Had enough summer? The agony! Labor Day Menu
Labor Day Menu? That’s ridiculous. Right?
For most of this year, we here in beautiful Erieland have been hearing that we were that close to having had 200 inches of snow during this past winter. Yesterday, the National Weather Service decided to change this total, and deducted about 30 inches. Um, sure, Weather Service, that makes sense. Four months after the last snow fall they’re checking on the snow levels. Completely reasonable. I wonder if they noticed that the snow is all gone now?
Regardless of whether we had 170 inches or 200 inches last winter, this summer is going by way too fast.
Unfortunately, that means I must present the Labor Day Menu for 2018.
Naturally, the drink of the day is Sex on the Beach. Because the time for that is apparently over. If you’d like a little boozy appetizer, Buzzed Cherry Bombs are always a fun treat.
Easy, yummy Potato Skin Bites start us off, followed by a red, white and blue salad with Watermelon, Blueberries and Feta Cheese.
Grilled Chicken in a Mojo Marinade makes juicy sandwiches for a delicious star attraction.
Corn on the Cob (while we still can) and an old family favorite, Broiled Tomatoes with Bacon round out the menu. We finish up with Blondies festively decorated with Patriotic Candy Sprinkles (affiliate link- click here for details). These Fireball No Bake Truffles make a nice addition if you want something a little different.

Let’s not panic though – fall is still almost a month away.
